LCD-X are an open headphone that is still able to reproduce the lowest frequencies with speed, power and depth. Unlike some pro headphones, LCD-X provide great clarity and detail without sibilance or exaggerated high frequencies.
LCD-X are heavier than most headphones but the broad suspended headband and ultra deep sheepskin ear pads provide lots of room for your ears and good comfort all round.

What a Treat!
I love everything about these headphones. Besides their sound, they’re super well made and feel great (they’re comfortable, despite their heft).

Near perfect translator of music Audeze LCD-X 2021 creator package
So a few weeks ago I purchased a pair of Audeze LCD-X headphones basically sight unheard , there have been so many great reviews of these cans that I felt buying them while in stock was not much of a bad or worrisome process. I lean Towards a V signature on in ear phones and headphones, these simply translate what ever your source and amplification are sending to them with very little if not any coloration. I own a serious collection of music and now I have to re listen to every single song that numbers into the high 20,000 plus on every storage medium I own . Because from the moment I started using the LCD-X’s it’s as if a vale was lifted and I finally heard the near perfect translation of my music collection. They require almost no power to drive them , in fact a phone could do it easily but get an amplifier to help with the lower octaves. I use a Fiio Mont Blanc and a iPhone as one source and even this rig does a splendid job . But I can only imagine what a great Dac Amp could add to this modern miracles. So if you love music every type of music these might be what you’re looking for , there not cheap, I opted for the 2021 creators box set with no regrets only the pleasure of a pure translator of amazing music . So if your looking for a headphone that’s at home in home or in the studio for mixing this is the one , enjoy ! Sent from my iPad

Audeze LCD-X
Overall these are fine headphones. Normally I don't buy cans in this price range, but I got tired of lessor build quality where usually the cable and connections were the weak point. These have robust connections, and overall fine build quality. The sound is difficult to criticize, as they are quite good. clarity is excellent, but if I had a bone to pick, it would be the treble is a tad too sharp. I prefer treble with the sharp edges polished off a bit. Having said that, my ears don't hurt, meaning no listening fatigue. I expect I'll be using these for many years.
