Fiio BTR5 2021 bluetooth adaptor. Balanced 2.5mm output headphone amp, usb dac. The Fiio BTR5 features updated dac chips, an improved usb interface, for better performance and connectivity when used wired and MQA support over a wired connection. Connects to your wired headphones and receives BT signal from your phone or computer.
BTR5 uses the latest and best available bluetooth codecs to give you the best sounding connection possible with your device - aac for iphone and ldac, apt-x HD for android are built in.
BTR5 2021 does a great job of powering your headphones from a tiny device - it uses dual ESS Sabre dacs for excellent clarity and detail. It provides a high power output from its 3.5mm jack or its balanced 2.5mm jack. There is a 1cm OLED screen, dual mics with cVc8 for clear voice calls and a clear belt clip included. BTR5 also has a car mode to extend battery life when used in the car.

BTR5 to go with my Campfire Audio IO!
I got my CA IOs on Christmas Day (a surprise gift also from Headphone Bar!) and immediately wanted a good portable DAC/amp to go with them. It has been great so far, nice added convenience with the Bluetooth and drives the IEMs well to my ears! Thanks Headphone Bar!

Good intro BT DAC, trouble with USB
My experience with the BTR5 has been good. No problems using it as a BT DAC over my Windows and Android device simultaneously. I cannot use it over a wired USB-C connection on my phone without an app installed, and then it only plays music on local device storage. Using it exclusively as a BT device is easy, would recommend it with the only caveat of difficulty connecting by USB-C to an Android device.

Great sound in a small package
I also own the smaller BTR3K, both are excellent units. The btr5 has a larger battery and a “car mode” where it senses the usb power to turn itself in, which is nice. Both sound transparent and clear.

Fiio BTR5 works flawlessly for me
I am very pleased with the item. I purchased a new apple device with no headphone jack. I purchased this to make my beloved headphones bluetooth enabled. Works like a charm! The service from Headphone bar was perfect.

Unique wireless DAC/AMP
Good build quality. Lots of features with phone app. Its is able to power a pair of Focal Clears no problem. Immaculate HI-FI unit when plugged into PC or Android. IPhone dose not support lossless steaming over Bluetooth yet. It sounds close to The Dragonfly Red.
