Hifiman Arya Organic open back planar magnetic headphone. Updated tuning of the Arya model, with a gorgeous wood earcup, visible around the housing.

Hifiman Arya Organic has been improved and refined to provide a fuller sound with even better spaciousness. The new Arya Organic is an open-back planar magnetic headphone that features HIFIMAN’s Stealth Magnets, which are notable for a special shape that enables waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference.

Sonics are detailed and transparent, exposing every detail of the recording without extraneous noise.

HIFIMAN’s Stealth Magnet technology is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves, maximizing the accuracy of the sonic output.

Arya Organic feature the 'window-shade grille', designed to improve the spaciousness and soundstage, while protecting the drivers.  as shown:

Also on board is the Nanometer Thickness Diaphragm. Based on the reference SUSVARA open-back headphone, the diaphragm results in ultra-low distortion, lightning fast transient response, and a demonstrable improvement in dynamics and overall details when compared to the original, highly acclaimed model. Its super-thin diaphragm guarantees fast response and the bare minimum of distortion

Arya Organic features an ergonomic design that comfortably fits most listeners. The wide soft headstrap relaxes to the shape of each head, the pads are very spacious, create less heat than other brands and there is a light clamping force, for stable fit combined with hours long comfort. .

The metal structure is CNC milled and hand polished for a secure housing with tightly finished seams & edges and an attractive design aesthetic that lasts for years.

Inputs are dual 3.5mm for easy connectivity and compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket cables. We stock some Meze cables which are popular balanced cables to use with the Arya Organic.

    The best headphones I’ve owned

I tested these directly against the HD600 and the Meze 109 Pros, with the asterisk that I would either keep this or the 109 Pros. I kept this. Keep in mind, I am a big fan of neutral, textured headphones. And the Arya Organics provide this in spades. The planar magnetic drivers are tuned to be overall neutral with just the slightest hint of warmth, to prevent the sound from feeling clinical. But because these are neutral planars, they are /dripping/ with texture. The soundstage is tall, the bass is thumpy enough, and I adore the brightness present in the upper end. I’d also call this “as comfortable as it can be”. The Meze 109 Pro are more likely to be comfortable to more people, but I find tension headstraps to be uncomfortable on my head. The Aryas are more comfortable to me, but I also find they feel more substantial than my HD600. I can wear the HD600 all day with literally no issue because they’re so light and close to my head. But the Arya are twice the weight and feel a bit more loose. I think the wide headstrap does a good job of distributing the weight, but I could with something a bit clampier/tighter. Just personal preference though, and they still feel comfier over long sessions than I expected. I frequently wear these for 8+ hour days with no issues. So yeah. These are really fantastic, especially at their new lower price point. I highly recommend these or the Stealths if you’re looking for netural, textured headphones with tall soundstages. 5/5 from me!

    Hickman Arya Organic

New to headphones even though I’ve been into audio for 50 years and coming from good quality two channels system, took some adjustment. I’ve been using the Arya Organic with a Chord Hugo TT2. Both items have had at least 400 hrs of continuous play. Right up to the 300 hr mark, I was having doubts, then almost over another 24 hr period , everything locked into place. Pianos no longer sounded like harpsichords, soundstage became stable and expansive. The shrill in the higher registers, mellowed enough that the headphones remained on my head. You can clearly get a tactile sense of the venue the musicians are performing in. Now 400 hrs of burn time there’s still subtle improvements. So be patient with these when you first get them and you will be rewarded.

The Best Bass, The Fullest Notes

If you're like me and tried planars only to feel like they were hollow, cold, unnatural, this is the headphone to try. The bass is outstanding, beating out closed backs. The notes are full bodied yet treble still has air. And this headphone's specialty is the staging. It has the best vertical soundstage I've heard, along with the ability to present things as close by or far away, instead of all close or all far. If you don't care about bass that might, give the arya stealth a try. It has the strengths I mentioned but the notes are a little more airy over full, and less bass texture/quantity. Do not get this if you're very treble sensitive, you're going to have a bad time.
