High tech drivers
Focal engineers have put all their know-how in the manufacture of loudspeakers at the service of wireless headphones and noise reduction. Manufactured in the Focal workshops and inheriting patented technologies, the 40 mm full-range electrodynamic aluminum/magnesium drivers are a patented Focal innovation.
Aluminum increases dome rigidity and greatly reduces distortion, while magnesium provides excellent damping. This alloy enables the loudspeakers to deliver deep bass, smooth treble and clear vocals for extremely accurate sound.
Focal Hadenys Review:
Soundguys.com: The Focal Hadenys are an extremely good set of open-backed headphones that are not only durable, but sound great too.
Whathifi hands on : we were struck by just how clear, clean and spacious these open-backs were capable of sounding. Nuanced instrumental textures immediately stood ... The wired cans illuminated instruments with intense clarity, allowing textures to shine within what felt like a refined and uncluttered soundscape.
Focal Hadenys Specs:
Great headphones. I think this solidly dethroned Elex. It is not the same in sound signature. The included cable is way better than the one that came with Azurys.
All in all, very good value for the money. They’re very detailed and somewhat forward sounding. Typical for Focal. The presence peak is very smooth, so nothing to worry about as far as sounding harsh. Also, they’re tuned so there’s a bit of a bass shelf that’s definitely not neutral sounding, but it’s done in a way that should be pleasant to most people. (YMMV, but I have yet to hear anything that this negatively affects.) In general, I’d say that if they fit into your budget, they’re definitely worth short-listing.
