K9 AKM uses very similar headphone amp, preamp & connectivity from the awesome K9 Pro, with the dacs changed for 2024 to the latest AKM 4499EX flagship dac. Fiio K9 AKM is an outstanding dac to use in a stereo, as a dac/headphone amp with headphones or as a dac/preamp out to powered speakers.

The ace up the FiiO K9 AKM's sleeve is the THX AAA 788+ amplifier, which gives it an exceptional undistorted output power of 1% up to 780 mW at 300Ω and up to 2000 mW at 32Ω. Whether you're using low impedance or high impedance headphones, the K9 AKM will drive them with flying colours.

Multiple LDOs in multiple stages - Truly stable performance
Power stabilisation and filtering within the audio circuit plays a major role in ensuring excellent sound quality. Extremely low-noise LDOs are used for voltage regulation in each stage of the audio circuit.

The FiiO K9 AKM uses the QCC5124 Bluetooth chip with support for LDAC/aptX HD/aptX Adaptive & AAC Bluetooth formats. With the K9 AKM, you can listen to music, watch videos and play video games with high quality and low latency. 

Compatible with UAC1.0/UAC2.0 
The K9 AKM supports both UAC1.0 and UAC2.0 modes, so you can either use the K9 AKM with devices that can simply be connected via plug-and-play, or with devices that can work with the K9 AKM with an additional driver for even better compatibility. And with the FiiO Control App, you can easily switch between UAC1.0 and UAC2.0 modes. *UAC1.0 for PS5 and other device support

Five input signals: USB input / optical / coaxial / LINE / Bluetooth *The line mode includes an RCA and a 4.4 mm input. If both are connected, the 4.4 mm input has priority.
Select from three output modes:

LO: Only the rear analogue RCA+XLR outputs are active, have the maximum output power and cannot be adjusted with the volume control
PRE: Only the rear RCA+XLR analogue outputs are active and can be adjusted with the volume control
PO: Only the front headphone outputs are active and can be adjusted with the volume control. Three levels of Gain: High/Medium/Low.  The L level for low amplification is suitable for sensitive in-ear headphones; the H level for high amplification is suitable for planar and 300-ohm headphones.

Handsome Horizontally or vertically
Adopting the well-received design language of other FiiO desktop devices, the K9 AKM features an all-aluminium construction, manufactured through an integrated stretching and CNC process to ensure case strength and precise finishing. Thanks to the vertical stand, the FiiO K9 AKM can be used both vertically and horizontally, making it a versatile part of your desktop setup.

A weighty feel for a weighty sound
The weighty FiiO volume control is supported by an ADC curve reconstruction that allows you to adjust 120 volume levels precisely and smoothly, with minimal noise and volume deviation between the left and right channels.

The RGB lighting around the buttons not only gives the K9 AKM and its surroundings a fun personality, but also displays the current audio sampling rate and BT format.

Professional PEQ 
With the FiiO Control app, you can quickly switch between 7 preset music styles on the FiiO K9 AKM. If the selected tuning style matches the music you are listening to, you can have a more lively and enjoyable experience. If the preset tuning style is not to your liking, the 3 self-defined PEQ (Parametric Equaliser) designs will help you fine-tune it to your preferred listening style. *This function is only valid for Bluetooth decoding.

To show off your skills - one app is enough
You can connect the K9 AKM to your phone via Bluetooth, and with the additional FiiO Control App you get access to even more features. Customize various settings such as filters, status indicators, EQ and channel balance exactly to your taste. *EQ only works in Bluetooth mode.
