My Music - ALL OF IT! Thank you CFA BONNEVILLE
What a difference! First, a bit about the listener - I'm plus 70 with some hearing loss. But I love my music and use an Astell and Kern Kahn Alpha to deliver music I digitize myself. Some of it is from albums made at International Music Camp in the US when I was a kid. Genres vary from classical to rock, blues recorded in Danish coffee houses, purchased from kid bands on the street in Reykjavik and albums from Canada's great indigenous groups. Finally decided that I needed something like the Campfire Audio Bonnevilles to compensate for hearing. That was the best decision I could have made! The Bonnevilles are exceptional! Presence is like being where the music is happening. The sound stage is wide, high and airy. Detail is clear and rich. Bass is full but not overpowering unless recorded that way and does not steal from the mid's. Separation is a delight - it is possible to focus on a section or just one instrument depending on the mixing. While not particularly a vocals fiend, I find them smooth and natural. Since these IEM's arrived today, I've sampled Lincoln Mayorga's Missing Link, Paul Banks Alborg Denmark coffed house CDs, Muse Origin Of Sumetry, Alison Balsom's Aamazing trumpet solos, several cuts from Clapton collections, Canada's Peter Appleyard (Mambo #5 in particular), Dead South... It's all good with the Bonnevilles. The product build quality is solid, the new flat cables (about 54 inches long) lie flat and are unobtrusive. Fit to the ears is very easy and comfortable. These are all day wear if it comes to that. I selected the deluxe kit which is purple with the black colored IEM's. The quality of the kit is phenomenal and in the big scheme, color is irrelevant - it's the IEM's that matter. Time to retire the Sony M7's.
