Sivga Audio P-II Planar magnetic driver headphones, with gorgeous solid walnut ear cups and dual sided magnet planar magnetic drivers. Sivga P-II are tuned to provide a balanced response with strong clarity in the mids. Sivga P-II are fairly easy to drive at 98dB sensitivity, allowing you to get consistently great results from a wide variety of dacs and amps.
Comfort is top notch, with a suspended headband and earpads with breathable cloth on the inside facing surface. The ear cups are made from black walnut wood, solid pieces are CNC machined, then finished in a 4 step process, with a deep, beautiful finish.
We're big fans of the included woven cable -its just the right length at 1.6m, with a balanced 4.4mm plug and adaptor down to 3.5mm. With the balanced cable and any of the new iFi dacs you get a great combo - zen / go blu / hip2 dac.

I love these headphones. The build quality is absolutely solid. They remind me, of a piece of fine crafted art.
The amount of detail via the wide soundstage is breathtaking. The sound is very impressive, in either balanced or single ended mode. The Headphone Bar, has become my only choice for headphone related products, due to their unparalleled customer service and selection.
Not knowing much about SIVGA and being cautious about Chinese audio companies, I hummed and hawed a great deal before finally buying these headphones. Am I ever glad I did! I am very pleased with my purchase. Despite having an ever-growing collection of headphones, the P-IIs are the first pair of planar magnetic headphones I have used so I have no point of comparison. That said, I can now see why some aficionados say that once you have tried planars it is hard to go back to dynamic driver headphones. My P-IIs have a ridiculously wide and deep soundstage that make every piece of music I listen to a "revelation" no matter what the genre. Now I can hear all of the instrumentation that my other headphones - closed or open-backed - all too often relegate to the background. With my P-IIs every instrument or group of instruments takes on a life of its own. I have been hunting a long time for a pair of headphones with this level of separation between instruments and this level of detail when it comes the whole sound stage. What's more, all of this is delivered with the "punch" that I understand from reviews is characteristic of all planars. I have quickly come to love my P-IIs and look forward to time spent with them connected to the balanced 4.4mm jack on my iFi stack (i.e. the Stream connected to the Zen DAC Signature connected to the Zen CAN Signature) and streaming from TIDAL and Amazon HD. The P-IIs feel a bit under-powered when connected to the balanced 4.4mm jack on my SONY NW-ZX507 digital audio player so I stick to using them with my iFi system. I am pleased with the hard case and cables that SIVGA provides with the P-IIs and the build quality of the headphones themselves is excellent. The only "problem" I have with my P-IIs is that I have to plan my listening sessions around my wife's schedule so that I do not disturb her otherwise I would use them much, much more ...but that's to be expected with any open backed headphones. One final word: Headphone Bar has become one of the audio shops here in Canada that I rely on for my audio needs. I appreciate having access to the brands they stock, the sale prices they offer, and the promptness with which they ship my purchases. Absolutely no complaints there. All in all: I am very pleased with my purchase!
