Meze Empyrean Elite

Meze Empyrean Elite flagship over ear is an upgraded version of the Empyrean headphone, tuned to deliver improved clarity, separation and a more present mid/treble balance, while retaining the great qualities of the original Empyrean. The driver has been further advanced in partnership with Rinaro. The voice coil now has two distinct areas, with the smaller area focusing on high frequencies, centered at the ear canal.

Meze Empyrean Elite is a very practical flagship headphone. It is still a very easy to drive headphone, making it flexible to use with a variety of sources. Comfort is excellent - the large cups, wide soft headband, lack of clamping and light weight add up to excellent comfort. The ear cups are very large inside and the headphone keeps your ears cooler than some other headphones as well. There is also both Alcantara (brushed) set of pads and Hybrid leather set included.

Empyrean Elite is serviceable, with a tear down photo included here showing all the screws and parts that go into the housing of the headphone. To reduce weight, advanced materials have been used throughout. The outer housing is magnesium, headband rails are carbon fiber, for example.

April 2023 update - models are starting to ship with a new improved carry case. You can choose from either an upgraded 8 wire copper or 8 wire silver plated cable, terminated in 4.4mm, XLR, 6.35mm or 3.5mm plug. We'll contact you prior to shipping your headphone to confirm your cable selection. 

The purchase price includes 1 cable and it can be any of these Meze copper or silver plated options (these cables were formerly a $349-$549 option!!)
