Klipsch Heritage HP3 headphones are finally in store. Klipsch worked on the HP3 for years and they are a worthy flagship. The HP3 is a semi-open back design that is easy to drive, so you can get great sound with a wide variety of sources. Padding is plush, comfort is very good and the materials used are gorgeous. Leather, wood and metal are everywhere, the ear pads detach easily via magnets for easy cleaning, the cables feel great and a matching metal stand is included.
Klipsch HP3 have a big, dynamic, warm sound - very good clarity with a full deep bass response and a touch of warmth. They never sound thin, boring or overly bright an are very fun to listen to for long periods. HP3 uses a 52mm biodynamic driver that to me looks like an updated version of the Fostex drivers that Fostex and Denon have used over the years. Klipsch has built it combined with a powerful magnet producing 1 tesla of magnetic flux, carefully designed many aspects of the housing and has the HP3 really well tuned here for Klipsch's high end sound.
