These are very good, I have them paired with a Beyerdynamic Xelento and they have very faint Background hiss which Is similar to the amount I have encountered with Bluetooth headphones like Sony MDR-ZX7. The only feature I would wish for improvement on is the wire, it is very stiff and is not adjustable. If it could be adjusted even slightly this would be a perfect product for me.
I had a very hard time finding "true wireless" MMCX headphone adapters for sale in Canada. When I saw this one was sold by Headphone Bar, I jumped at the chance to buy it. I have had a corded Bluetooth adapter and 3.5mm headphone cord for my Shure SE215s for some time. I have been interested in making them less tangly, but still using the headphones I already have. The UTWS1 adapters work quite well. I haven't had a problem with how music sounds, and they are simple to charge from microUSB cables. They come with a USB cable that splits to two microUSB connectors to allow them to charge from one USB-A port. However, there are some annoyances. 1. The controls are designed to be used when both headphones are in use. Volume down is on the left, up is on the right. Double tap on the left can activate a voice assistant, double tap on the right pauses playback. I normally use them one at a time, and when I am using the left I have no way to pause, I have to pull out my phone. I pause and resume playback of things like podcasts many times a day, so this gets cumbersome. I wish there was a way to customize the controls. 2. With the Shure Bluetooth adapter, I was able to have multiple devices connected at the same time (aka multipoint). I could have them connected to my phone and my computer. With the UTWS1, I have to turn them off, turn them on in pairing mode, and connect from one device at a time. This is another cumbersome process, as I had got used to this just working. You can work around this by pairing one adapter to a phone and the other adapter to a computer, but that isn't ideal. 3. The earhook cable is short and stiff. It pulls the back of the headphone casing up and presses it into my ear, and this gets uncomfortable after a while. I work around this by taking out the left and putting in the right, or vice versa. In general, they work well but it they are not as no-nonsense as I was hoping for.
