MM-500 uses a newly designed more compact 90mm planar driver, incorporating several of Audeze's core technologies, such as Fazors to control the back wave, Ultra thin Uniforce drivers and Audeze's Fluxor magnet array.

Audeze MM-500 are lighter weight than the LCD-X, use a newly designed spring steel suspended headband, deep premium leather ear pads and a machined aluminum ear cup structure for all day wearing comfort and long life durability. The 18 ohm drivers have a high sensitivity, so you can get great results from a huge range of sources, for ultimate flexibility during your work or listening time.

Headfonics: this is going down as one of the most enjoyable headphone sound signatures for me this year... it’s the level of engagement it teases out of each listening experience that is utterly fantastic. The MM-500 has energy to burn, with a snappy yet smooth-sounding coloration and a top-end that is perhaps the most coherent and pleasing Audeze has produced to date.
